Background
This Clockology Apple watch face was inspired by an shipping accident that was caused by the waters off the coast of Stroma (an island in the highlands of Scotland). The Bettina Danica ship ran around in 1994.
The waters are volatile around the coast especially near the lighthouse (named Swilkie Point). It is located where there is a dangerous waterway called Swilkie. The Swilkie is a very dangerous tidal whirlpool in the Pentland Firth off the northern point of Stroma, hence the shape of the face.
The Design
I wanted to create something that was different from a common face by positioning the hands in different places. The top hand = hours and the lower, is the minutes. There is a second hand that can be turned on in the provided file (personal design style).
The 'S' shape is there for the StromaScape brand but also the shape of the whirlpool.
The face changes colour based on the battery levels, making the face have a different visual look π (dependant of the remaining battery life). The colours are editable to suit your preferences, watch strap or what your fashion style is.
There is also: date & heart rate complications that are built into the design and can be turned on if required.
There are subtle number indicators built into the S shape that help with the time association with the hands π
I also added a little bling to the face by positioning a diamond π inside the StromaScape logo. This can be turned off if you don't want this on your watch face.
